Let’s face it, relationships can be challenging! It’s hard enough to really know what we want, let alone know what our partner wants. Every day we work at our relationships and though it shouldn’t feel like work, it usually is! But if you really want to be with that person, it’s worth the effort.

So what can I do as a Psychic and Astrologer to make it just a little bit easier?

I can help educate on what the signs are like, and more importantly, what element the signs are. Astrology is an ancient tool used to help you understand yourself and others on a deeper, psychological level. While astrological compatibility is a very complex system, understanding the inherent needs for each sun sign element is a great place to start!

I know your first question is, what are you talking about when you say elements verses just the sun signs themselves and how can this help me with dating?

Every sun sign will fall under one of the elements (Fire, Earth, Air, or Water) and it’s important to understand that each element carries with it certain energies – i.e. characteristics. I like to say these are your basic core needs. Understanding what your partner’s basic needs are will help you understand why they are the way they are. Knowing what element your partner has is a great way of understanding the balance and flow of your relationship.

Let’s look at the element of each sign and see what it really means!

Fire Sun Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Fire burns hot! Their core needs revolve around creativity, action, initiation, and enthusiasm. They’re born to be leaders and they like to be in charge! Fire signs have an unquenchable thirst to try things. Yes, they’re sometimes impulsive, however, knowing that they need activities in life that stir their inspiration and get their hearts pumping is the key to getting along with them. Telling them they’re right will always make them happy!

Earth Sun Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) 

Earth signs move slow, steady and practical. You’ll never rush them into anything and if you try you’ll end up hitting a wall! But once they do move they’ll be there for you, as they’re reliable and grounded and extremely down to earth. Allow an earth sign time and don’t rush them into doing anything. Imagine trying to move a mountain and you’ll understand the force you’re dealing with! Their core needs revolve around safety, financial security, and practicality.

Air Sun Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Air signs exist on the mental plane, meaning that their core need is about communication in some form. Their minds are active and they have a thirst to learn and acquire more information. Air signs enjoy talking things out and tend to think things versus feel them. Think first and feel second—head before heart—is how they were built. Metal stimulation is their core need and without this they feel trapped and confined. If you can continue to excite their mind then you’ll have a keeper for life—they can’t do boring!

Water Sun Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) 

The key word for water signs is emotions. Male or female, it’s the same for both! Though they keep many of their emotions hidden, they’re there always sensitive under the surface. Water signs feel things much more intensely than other signs. Watch their bodies for communication; while they might not say much, their body movements can speak volumes! It’s like the proverb "still waters run deep…" if you understand this then you’ll have a better understanding of the person you’re with. Water signs’ core need is to merge with others on an emotional level and to feel safe (in time) when revealing themselves.
