Have you been struggling with adapting to change, expressing how you truly feel, or feeling numb in your everyday life? Have you forgotten what it feels like to be empowered to take charge?
Well then you came to the right place because I’m here to remind you with this simple meditation!
Through unblocking our Sacral Chakras, we can begin to reopen to our inner power - that divine will to express, adapt, create freely, and be fulfilled in doing so. The Sacral Chakra is located just below the belly button. It is associated with the color orange and is connected to the element of water. This means that this chakra is also associated with flow and flexibility along with aspects of the emotional body, sensuality, and creativity. Through this meditation, you’ll release blockages that are holding you back and allow life to flow abundantly once more.
A self-led meditation means you’ll guide yourself using what’s written below as a blueprint. Your own inner voice will be your only guidance. Read through everything below, then close your eyes and walk yourself through it mentally. If you need a reminder just pauses, read over the steps again, and then close your eyes and resume without beating yourself up for losing focus. The perfect way to meditate is by embracing whatever the meditation turns out to be.
Before you start, crystals can also help with unblocking one’s chakras, so for this meditation I recommend sitting with citrine, carnelian, orange calcite, or other orange stones to connect with the energies of the Sacral Chakra.
- Once you have found the crystal that resonates with you, I invite you to hold that crystal just below the belly button. If you do not have a crystal, I invite you to place your right hand on your heart and your left hand on your stomach over your Sacral Chakra. Make sure you are sitting up during this meditation or laying down with your feet planted on the ground. Once you have found a comfortable position, I encourage you to bring awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath. Feel your diaphragm expand as you inhale, and release as you exhale. Breath in through your nose, and then sigh out as you exhale.
- Bring your awareness now to your crystal, or to your Sacral Chakra. As you breathe in, imagine a deep orange color expanding in that area, breathing out as it becomes an even brighter orange color. Give yourself some time to feel into this sensation and continue to visualize this expansion. Breathing in through your nose, and breathing out a sigh, sink even deeper into your Sacral.
- Continue to visualize and repeat the following affirmations to release any blockages in your system…
“My sexuality is sacred. I allow creative energy to freely flow within me. I respect other people’s boundaries, including my own. I follow where inspiration leads. I feel safe. I love myself. I nourish my body with healthy food and clean water. I am open to experiencing the present moment through my senses.”
Sit with these affirmations and notice what it feels like in your body as you repeat them aloud.
