PathForward welcomes you to tune out the noises of the day and tune in to our tranquil guided mediation series, The Mindful Path. Breathe in, breathe out and let’s begin.
This meditation invites you to be BREATHED by the Gaia and open yourself up to the love all around. Accepting this gift of love and life empowers you to go do and be, everything your soul wishes to go, do and be.
I invite you to find a comfortable spot, it can be outside in nature or in a place where you can receive sunlight. I encourage you to have your bare feet planted on the floor or ground, with your hands hovering in front of or directly on your heart center. Now, take a deep breath in, feeling the nourishment coming up from the Earth into your feet and into your heart. As you do so, take in the warm comfort of the sun. Breathe out, allow all of the fears, tension, and anxieties to be expelled from your being and absorbed deeply into the Earth.
Breathe in the acceptance and love from Gaia. Exhale, easing even more into her embrace of acceptance, and forgiveness. Inhale, now sinking even deeper and deeper into the safety of the sacred heart of the Great Mother. Focus on the energy from the ground below rising up, with the sun’s guidance into your heart center. Let this energy invite you to give yourself a hug as you breathe in all of the love, all of the and exhale out gratitude for all the energy you have transformed from fear into acceptance, into unconditional love.
You’re now going to pivot your focus from breathing to being breathed. Imagine yourself as a seedling and Mother Nature is breathing life into you. As a seed and in the dark womb of her soil, you begin to rise up. Breathing out, reaching to the surface of the soil with strength, feeling the sun’s energy motivating us for growth. The continuation of evolution. Breathing in, sitting a bit taller as you continue to grow a bulb that is about to bloom in the spring.
Now as you breathe out imagine your heart as the bulb of the flower blooming out, reaching for the sunlight. Still grounded in the earth. Breathing in and out. Being breathed in and out. Feel into this sensation, and set the intention of sharing the beauty of this shining flower with those who are worthy. Allow your heart to expand as the petals stretch out showing its beautiful colors. Imagine your flower, in all of its brilliance. Hone in on the colors, the shapes as you continue to be breathed by the Great Mother. Continuing the cycle of nourishment and growth.
Being breathed in and out. Breathing. Being breathed. In and out.
Allow yourself to sit with this for however long you feel is best. And, when you are ready, open your eyes and begin to stand. As you rise up and out of your meditation posture, I invite you to slowly stretch your arms to the sky and give thanks and gratitude to the sun, and the Earth for holding the space for you to open up.
Lastly, please speak aloud the following affirmations:: “I am love” “I am strong” “My heart is open to accept love” “I am blooming more positivity and beauty into my world” “I am beautiful” “I am connected”. And so it is.
