It's not always easy, but it's always worth it to meditate. You might need to do this meditation multiple times to get the benefits, so grant yourself the time it takes.
First, it's important to know that the spirit world is next to you. It is all around you. This meditation will help you adjust your consciousness so that you can enter into different levels of awareness to experience the spirit world.
Let's begin by just appreciating what's around us. What's above, below, to the left and the right. Behind us and in front of us. Let this appreciation now become appreciation for the mystery of life and death. And as you do that, began to focus on the energy of love. You can think of the word love, see a symbol of love or just like a mantra, repeat the word love. Others will just have a memory where they felt completely loved, or where they were completely loving another person. And just let that energy of love build in you. Love is the calling card to the spirit world.
Think of love being in the driver's seat, the pilot seat for the vehicle that gets you to the other side. And then let the energy of appreciation be in the passenger seat. Appreciating the mystery will help you let go of needing to understand why it's able to be and how it works. All you need to do is give yourself permission to experience it.
Think of yourself being transported into the spirit world. Affirm that any blocks towards letting yourself connect to be washed away, to melt away and disintegrate. Let go of any guilt, any judgments. Forgive yourself, everything and everyone for any limiting beliefs about the spirit world, about death, about life. Just for this moment. You can pick your judgments, your shoulda coulda wouldas, your regret and guilt, up after the meditation. But just in this moment let it go completely.
Let this be a sacred and sovereign time with your loved ones on the other side.
At the pace that feels right for you, you'll ask for your loved one by name to step forward and connect with you in a way that you can easily understand, feel and perceive. Just be open to anything and everything that comes through from your loved one.
If you find yourself getting caught up in sadness and in mourning ask for your spirit guides and angels to take that pain away just for this moment so that you can enjoy this interaction with your loved one. You can ask any question that you have. Only ask one question at a time and wait for the response. You might see, hear, feel, know. Whatever it is just have gratitude for it. We're going to do this in silence for 60 seconds beginning now.
When you're ready you're going to end the conversation by asking: "what way can I honor your memory" or "please gift me the awareness to better understand that this is just the next great journey of each individual soul."
Knowing that you can always connect to your loved one as you let go and begin to come out of the meditative state. Good.
