Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise homeschool Suri

The tabloids often lambaste her marriage, but Katie Holmes seems like one happy lady. The actress recently spoke to New York Magazine about her marriage to Tom Cruise and their decision to homeschool their daughter, Suri.

"She [Suri] has a teacher who is with her every day," Holmes told the publication. "We like the one-on-one education. I'm happy that my daughter is strong-willed and determined. You really have to go with what the child is wanting."

Though many parents debate the merits of homeschooling, The Huffington Post reports that it's very popular among Scientologists.

Of course, the brunette beauty also dished a little about her relationship with her famous husband, revealing that she often asks him for acting advice.

"He's helpful and sweet and gracious," she told the magazine.

We wonder if the Cruises' will continue to homeschool Suri in the coming years, or if the famous tot will eventually attend a traditional school with other children her own age? Before committing to having her tutored indefinitely, the pair should consult a spiritual psychic to make sure that they're making the right choice for their little girl.
