Positive Self-Talk
Rise and shine! Start your day on a high note by vocalizing your inner-voice. Each day this week, before you begin your daily routine (but first, coffee), we challenge you to engage in positive self-talk. Sounds cray cray? You’d be surprised of the power of positive self-talk and what kind of revelations you’ll uncover just by conversing with, well, yourself.
What is positive self-talk? The benefits of positive self-talk include boosted optimism, help with compartmentalizing feelings, and assists with problem-solving. Not to mention, studies show a whole slew of health benefits such as better physical health, less stress, and reduced pain.
How to positive self-talk: Before you roll out of bed, in the mirror, or in the car - there’s no right or wrong way to engage in positive self-talk activities. It’s best to be in a quiet space where you can literally hear yourself think and not have to worry about someone overhearing you. Reciting postive self-talk quotes is an easy way to boost your optimism and mood.
Here are a few positive self-talk examples to get you started:
- I am going to have a great day! I will not stress about the things I cannot control. I got this!
- I am beautiful, worthy, and creative. Negative vibes can move to the side! My energy is magnetic, and today I’ll attract positivity.
- I am prepared for this meeting. Even though I’m feeling a bit nervous, I know I’m going to crush it and impress my boss. I got this!
