What's in Store for capricorn in 2023:
Money, Love, Career

While there is a lot of change in the air this year, with not only Jupiter and Saturn on the move but Pluto as well, it is the latter that will have the biggest impact personally. As Jupiter will only spend around 12 months in one area of your chart, it is a given that he will move at least once each year, but Saturn has been in your income sector since 2020 and Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008, setting the scene for major change and with it the dynamics of the solar system itself. When Pluto, the planet of change and revolution returned to Capricorn in 2008 this began his only visit to your sign in our lifetime and with it, a chance over the years to grow, change and evolve but that journey is coming to an end. Unlike Jupiter and Saturn, who once they move on won’t look back, as a slower outer planet Pluto will always look back, leaving on 24th March but then retrograding back in on 11th June.

This is less about Pluto suddenly leaving and more the start of his transition out, returning to tie up loose ends before leaving in 2024, not to return in our lifetime. So if there are any changes that you have been putting off or you have been working up to, this is the year to make it happen. At the same time that Pluto is transitioning out of Capricorn, he is also transiting into your income sector, where on 24th March he will take over from where Saturn leaves off on 8th March. Since 2020 Saturn has called on you to put in the hard work, but with the hard taskmaster of the cosmos gone Pluto will return to help you reap the rewards. This will be especially timely, with Mars not leaving your work sector and wrapping up his longest visit in eight decades until 26th March, two days after Pluto returns. Pluto will also be here when a parade of planets move through your work sector from 11th April to 27th June, starting with Venus who will return just a few weeks after Mars leaves.

Meanwhile, until leaving your home and family sector on 17th May Jupiter is wrapping up an expansive year for growth and opportunities that began in May 2022 but was put on hold when he retrograded back out five months later. As we move into the New Year Jupiter has only been back for 11 days, with an opportunity for a fresh start. Home, family and/or property matters will also get a boost when a parade of planets move through from 20th February to 20th April, starting Venus’ return while an eclipsing New Moon on 20th April will give things a boost during Jupiter’s final days. On 17th May Jupiter will return to your romantic and creative sector where he will join up with Uranus, the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected to begin a lucky and expansive year for matters of the heart and all things fun, playful, romantic and creative.

Capricorn Money Horoscope for 2023

For less than 72 hours it is business as usual as you move into this new financial year, a year that is almost perfectly and neatly divided into two, with the focus on the income side of the financial fence for the first half before shifting to the other side. To begin with, there is a chance to pause as Saturn spends his final days on his own in your income sector before leaving on 8th March, not to return for another three decades. Saturn can be a hard taskmaster and since his return in 2020 you may have faced challenges or you may have had to really work for what you deserve. Yet as a result you have built resilience and the kind of discipline and structure that can give you the power to move mountains if you have to. Saturn has been on his own since early last year but that is about to change and in a way that could get the year off to a lucrative start.

Saturn is literally the father of time and if it takes years to achieve something then that is what it takes. Venus couldn’t be more different and as the planet of money moves through from 3rd January to 27th January her aim will be to make these some of the most lucrative weeks of 2023, using the laws of attraction to benefit from the hard slog that Saturn has required. This is Venus’ last encounter with Saturn here for another three decades so she will be working to make it count. Also encountering Saturn for the last time here for another three decades will be the Sun when he moves through, putting the solar spotlight on your income situation, matters and options from 20th January to 19th February and Mercury, when he moves through from 12th February to 3rd March. Leaving just five days before Saturn on 8th March, Mercury will ensure you have the smart head for money needed to make these final weeks count.

It is then that your income sector will be empty for the first time since 2020 but not for long with Pluto, the planet of change and revolution returning for his first visit in our lifetime on 24th March. Pluto is only here until 11th June, before returning next year to fully invest in a journey that will run through to 2044. Where Saturn was about structure, Pluto returns to paint outside the square and to capitalize on what has already been invested. Pluto will retrograde back in just after the first planetary activity on the other side of the financial fence begins with Mars’ return to your financial sector on 21st May and Venus on 6th June. While this will overlap for a few days and in that time they will clash, this will fire up Mars’ financial passions and fighting spirit just as Venus returns to begin her longest visit to your financial sector in our lifetime, which will run through until 9th October. This is going to give your financial situation and money matters a serious boost.

Capricorn Love Horoscope for 2023

While starting the year with Venus, the planet of love in Capricorn is not unusual, unlike last year when she didn’t leave until March, when she leaves on 3rd January she won’t be back until 2024. Venus will spend less than 72 hours in your sign this year but importantly, they are also the first hours of a brand new year, with the planet of love able to have her say from the start. As well as getting the year off to a romantically charged start, Venus is on a mission to update your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year and this year, she is asking you to aim high and especially on the romantic front. To begin with, it is business as usual for this time of year on both fronts, which means no planetary activity in your relationship sector and Uranus, in retrograde motion in your romantic sector.

It is not until Uranus turns direct on 23rd January that the focus will fully shift from the past to the future, though having the North Node here since January 2022 has allowed you to keep sight of where you are going. It was the North Node that turned an ordinary Full Moon into a total lunar eclipse in November 2022. Things might get off to a slow start on the romantic front and especially in terms of turning Venus’ desires into reality, but your romantic sector is the dark horse of 2023. What could be some of the most romantically charged weeks of 2023 will begin with Venus’ return to your romantic sector on 17th March, with the planet of love giving the spirit of romance a serious boost until she leaves on 11th April. It is while Venus is here that Mercury will return for what should be a two week visit on 4th April but instead, he won’t leave until 12th June and this will prove to be a game changer.

It is less that Mercury will still be here, giving your heart a voice and putting heart and mind on the same page when the Sun moves through from 20th April to 21st May and more that he will still be here when Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion returns to begin your luckiest year for love in over a decade on 17th May, something that won’t run its course until 26th May 2024. Meanwhile, while this is happening your relationships will also get a boost when Mars returns for his first visit to your relationship sector in two years from 26th March to 21st May. With Venus here from 8th May to 6th June, this will give the planets of love and passion time to work their magic, without the Sun’s reality checks. It is after they both leave that the Sun will move through from 22nd June to 23rd July and Mercury, the planet of communication from 27th July to 11th July, all during the early weeks of your luckiest year for love in over a decade.

Capricorn Career Horoscope for 2023

Starting the year with Mars, the warrior planet of the cosmos in your work sector is giving you an advantage from the start and especially as he has been here since August. Mars will return to your work sector every two years and will normally spend six weeks fueling your work passions, fighting and competitive spirit as well as firing things up and creating what can be the busiest but also the most productive weeks of any year. However, four months on Mars is not only still here but the retrograde turn that has not only kept him here but is making this his longest visit in eight decades is still in effect. Mars is a planet of action and not only starting the year still in retrograde motion but slowing down ahead of a direct turn on 13th January, there could be some frustration. However, this buys you time to cool your heels and even spend time back at the drawing board, knowing that once Mars gets the green light there will be no stopping this warrior planet.

While Mars will be on his own until leaving on 26th March, not only does he have almost the whole first three months of the year to start things his way and to create a huge amount of traction, he knows that he doesn’t have to bring things home. Knowing that the first of the faster planets will return just a few weeks later, Mars can focus on what you can start rather than on what you can finish. This will leave your work sector empty for the first time since last August, giving you a chance to catch your breath before Venus returns on 11th April to begin what is the normal planetary activity that work and job matters get each year, though with a huge advantage from the start. Like Mars, with Venus leaving on 8th May and the Sun not returning until 21st May, she will spend her whole time here on her own, allowing you to focus on exploiting the potential Mars has created.

It is when the Sun moves through from 21st May to 22nd June and Mercury from 12th June to 27th June that you can start tying things up, as all planetary activity on the job front for the year finally runs its course. Meanwhile, while it is Mars who has led an extraordinarily long period of planetary activity on the job front, he will do the same on the career front when he becomes the first planet to reach your career sector for the year on 28th August. It is while Mars is here that the Sun and Mercury will return but when Mercury leaves on 22nd October and the Sun on 24th October, this will end what is a short two month run though not for long, with Venus making a belated return from 8th November to 5th December, exploiting what the rest of the planets have set in motion.
